Membership & British Taekwondo

We are proud to be affiliated with British Taekwondo, the only Olympic-recognised governing body in the UK.

Annual Membership Fee — per student

  • BT Licence & Insurance£31.50

    Paid to British Taekwondo. Covers the named student for training, gradings and competitions.

  • Club Admin Fee£4.50

    Why do we charge this? Every active member with British Taekwondo membership pays a £4.50 Club Admin Fee. If a member suffers a serious injury during training, a seminar or a competition and wants to make a claim, the club will help report the injury and handle the claim process on their behalf.

The licence and insurance cover only the person named on it, so it must be in the student’s name.

Common Questions

I bought the membership in my own name by mistake. What now?

Please don’t buy a second one yet. Speak to us at your next class or send us a message and we’ll help you sort it out with British Taekwondo.

I have two or more children. Does each need one?

Yes. Add each child as a separate member under your parent account, and buy a £36 membership for each. Under our Family Offer the 3rd family member trains free, but the licence is still required for insurance.

My child is 16 or 17. Can they register themselves?

No. Anyone under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian using the “My child” steps above.

Do I need to register before the free trial?

No. Come and try first, then register and buy the membership before your first official session.
